Vacation Bible School

This week, Mike attended Vacation Bible School at Epiphany Lutheran Church, here in Pickerington. He had an fantastic week doing crafts, tye-dying bandanas, having hot dog day and water day. Tonight we went to the church to see a program that the counselors put on with the kids....it was awesome!

We took lots of videos of the songs the kids sang, but this one-by far, was my favorite. It's called Sanctuary, and I think the most unbelievably beautiful part was when the kids sang the second part so purely with their hearts with no counselors or music to accompany them....

A New Dairy Queen Fan...

Owen had his first ice cream cone yesterday from Dairy Queen (a baby cone!)...he did SOOO awesome!! As you can tell by the pictures, I let him do it all by himself.....
When we got home, we literally bathed him in the kitchen sink....

Mike's Best Buds

Yesterday was a great day! We spent the morning running errands and then Michael and I enjoyed a great lunch at Sonic (while Owen slept)...
On the way home, we called Mike's best friend Andy (who lives in our neighborhood) and picked him up to come over and play. As soon as we got home, our other neighbor, Chloe (Mike's other best friend!) called and wanted to come play. The kids played all day and even stayed for dinner....

Vacation....and Fort Rapids!

The summer is half way over, so I decided to take Wednesday through Friday off on vacation. Yesterday we just hung out, but today...ah, yes today we ventured out with Aunt Barbara, Ashleigh and Matthew to Fort Rapids! What a super awesome time! I was so impressed with Michael...he went down racing slides, went under water, and even swam! (This is a first for us!)...Owen had so much fun that he literally fell asleep half way through the day! He played in the baby swings, went down the baby slide with Matthew, splashed water with Ashleigh and sat under a "mushroom" with Aunt Barbara....the joys of being a kid are endless!!

Pudding, Pudding, Pudding!

After dinner tonight, Owen had pudding for the first time, and as you can tell, he LOVED it....he is a true Gilligan, one with the love for chocolate!

Cooking Out

Tonight we cooked out with our friends, The Waltons, which is becoming quite a fun tradition!!! The dinner was quite yummy, too! After dinner, Michael, Owen and Sofi had so much fun playing, while we enjoyed some much needed adult conversation =) Later on, our neighbor Craig and his son, Alton came over as well, and all the kids had a blast playing! It's so nice to have such awesome neighbors!!

The Many Emotions of My Baby Boy

Swinging on a Monday Night

Michael, Owen and I traveled across the street since the weather was so nice to hang with our good friends, The Waltons! (Fernanda is Owen's godmother.)

Sofi and Michael had a blast playing on the swingset while Owen had fun just hanging out (as usual).

I look at these pictures and realize how quickly time passes. These are the pictures I will look back on and remember how much fun it was this summer and how these two wonderfully brilliant, beautiful boys did not have a care in the world. And for that, today I am truly thankful.

Nerf Guns Rule!

So, Michael's favorite gift he got for his birthday was a super cool nerf gun from "Uncle George" and "Aunt Liz" (good friends of mine)...Our neighbor Sofi and Michael (and Owen a bit) had a blast on Sunday night doing target practice!!

A million toys....

....I don't know about all parents, but my kids have about a million toys...but what does Owen choose to play with? The picture frames on the living room table. Time and time again, it is his "guilty pleasure"....to throw all the frames on the ground and then sit there, quite content, as if he has taken a stand against picture frames everywhere!

Finally! Our New Camera Arrives

And, although I'm not a genius at picture taking....I am very proud of the first round of pics I took yesterday.... Michael....at the computer playing Club Penguin or Pirates of the Carribean....Owen, just having SUPER FUN!!! (as always).....



















Later, my Mom (Grandma), Kristi and Corey came over and Michael and Corey had lots of fun playing WII.
